Mohawk

Her hair naturally does this after a bath! I'm not sure if it's curly or not, but it's just the hair on the top of her head. The rest is stick straight!

Bassinet to Crib!

We loved having a bassinet to put Abigail in at first. It was so handy, and useful. The basket came off the rocker, and so we could move it up and down stairs. Eventually we just kept it right outside our bedroom and she slept in it at nights. Whenever she would wake up we would find her like this. She always would scoot herself up to the very top so her head was pressing up against the side.
This is an early photo of her in her bassinet. Look at how much room she has. We knew because of her lenth she wouldn't last too long in it!
And here she is at 5 weeks. I decided she was getting too big for her bassinet when I came to get her after a nap and her feet had worked their way out of her blanket and hooked over the edge! That made me a little nervous, and so we transitioned to her crib.

She looks so tiny in her crib!

The Happiest Baby on the Block

Isn't this a sweet picture? I am so glad we caught it on camera. She was so smiley during her nap on Jeff one Friday afternoon.
So a while back when she was about 3 weeks old we watched "The Happiest Baby on the Block" Video about having a calm baby and a good sleeper. Even though Abigail was/is already a fairly calm baby and a pretty good sleeper we thought we'd give the swaddling and everything a try. The first night she slept 7 hours!! We've never been able to keep her in a swaddle since then, and so it made her more fussy so we no longer swaddle her. So here are some of the fun swaddle photos. She is a pretty good sleeper, once we get her to sleep.

Newborn and New Family Pictures

Our good friend, Lindsay Denton took these photos for us. Aren't they fantastic? She did a great job and we are so grateful.
