Abi is so fun and talking so much these days. She wakes up happy and goes to bed happy. She is our little ray of sunshine and burst of energy.
Some cute things we don't want to forget:
We went bowling the other day as a family, and as we were leaving, she saw the fountain drinks at the snack bar. She said, "Abi hungry. A cup."
Her first 3 word string: "Mommy made it." I had made a shot at family basketball during FHE at the basketball hoop in our neighborhood.
She loves Elmo and Minnie. LOVES them. Talks about them all the time, and finds them even when they are not really there. If you ask her where Elmo is she say, "Elmo hiding."
When she goes to bed at night we have to wrap Minnie's blanket around her, and she will say "Night, night Minnie."
Whenever she sees the computer she wants to watch Elmo or Minnie.
First "conversation" I had with Abi:
Me: Abi, where is Papa?
Abi. Papa, work. Bus?
Me: Yes he took the Bus to work.
Abi: Red bus? No. Yellow bus?
Me. Not a Red or yellow bus, a blue bus.
Abi: Oh. Yeah. Blue bus. Papa work.
When she wants to be held she says "Papa, hold you." or "Mama, hold you."
We do Articles of Faith every night, and she has learned the word "gospel" really well. It's amazing how much she can repeat, even hard words, and she remembers them.
She knows the name of almost every Sesame Street Character and can say the correct color.
Loves parks and slides, and pools and climbing. And jumping, but when we took her to a gymnastics open gym we just ended up paying money for her to drink from the public water fountain. Once she has her mind set on something she is very hard to sway.
She is very VERY independent. "Abi does it." she always says.
Is still obsessed with shoes. Loves putting them on and taking them off, over and over again, and trying on her friends shoes, and papa's shoes and mama's shoes.
Has started to want to choose what she wears. Her favorite shirts are her Minnie shirts and her shirt that has monkeys on it.
Asks for her friends houses every day. Especially Summer and Owen.
Decided she doesn't want need a potty seat on the toilet, or a booster at the table.
Still loves to brush her teeth, and play with bubbles and water as she washes her hands.
Takes bath/showers now in "Mama's shower" instead of a bath in "Abi's bath tub"
Is in a toddler bed (has been since March). Does really well.
Knows that the crib is "Bady Emee's Bed"
Is good at making and cleaning messes. She always asks for a napkin or a towel at meals.
Would rather play with friends than with toys. LOVES hiding things and playing hide and seek. This is her absolute favorite thing. We hide Elmo all day long.
Pretends to feed Elmo and Minnie at meal time.
On Sunday, (I am 33 weeks), I was wearing a big t-shirt and we asked abi what was in my tummy. She comes over to me, lifts up my shirt and looks at my tummy and says. "A ball."
Then today we were drawing pictures, and I drew stick figures of Abi, and "Mama" and "Papa". I drew a big belly with a baby inside. I asked her who is it was and she said, "Bady Emee. A ball. A Bady in a ball."
She saw her friend Owen with snacks, and said, "Owen. Share. Abi."
She got her first professional haircut, and is perfect. The hair is out of her eyes and she no longer twirls her hair, which means she sucks her thumb a lot less. She did so great. She sat so still and wasn't afraid at all.
We are proud of who she is and who she is becoming.

Partyin' partyin' yeah! Fun. Fun. Fun. Fun.
We've really been partying it up lately, in large part due to our "Book of Free" but also just because life is good and we ought to celebrate each day God gives us. Here are some of the things we've been doing:
This last weekend was awesome! Friday night we dropped Abi off at 5:30 PM and went to the Quarry for dinner. First we went to EZ's for some sweet potato fries, then 5 Guys for some burgers, and then Jamba Juice for a smoothie. Then we went to see Paul McCartney live!!! Well, at least that's what Nichole thought might be the case for a little while. It was actually a Paul McCartney impersonator with a really crappy British accent, but he looked a lot like Paul and he sang and played really well. He and 3 other guys were accompanied by the San Antonio Symphony performing Paul's music. It was lots of fun and all of the old people were super impressed!
Saturday morning after playing some b-ball, we went up to Landa Park for the Cops and Kids day at the park. We happened to be up there last year for a bbq with ward members, and it was awesome, so we wanted to go again. Nichole let people in our ward know, so saw lots of friends there. They give out a hot dog, chips, soda, and ice cream to everyone. Then, they do a raffle for bikes. Last year like 15 people from our ward won bikes. So, we were really excited and hoping they would call our number. Very first number was ours! So, Abi got a new bike. She is pretty excited about it. She will point around our garage and say, "Papa bike, Mama bike, Abi bike!" After the bike give away, we went swimming. It was super fun. There was a rope swing and a really cool slide that we could take Abi on.
After swimming we drove to Costco where we again had hotdogs, soda, and icecream. We picked up a movie, but it didn't work on our computer, so instead we played some Dominion. Today we celebrated Mother's day with our good friends, and then talked skyped with our family. What a great weekend!
Some other fun things we have done recently:
We went to a hockey game with some friends. We went to Dave and Busters-a really cool arcade. We celebrated our 6 year anniversary by getting donuts and going bowling in the morning, then going out to eat at a nice Mexican restaurant with live music and really good chips-The Palenque grill. We went to Raymond Rimcus park and played tennis baseball. We went to a chinese restaurant with Abi, then took her to Tom Slick dog park. We have been watching a lot of the show, "The Middle".
Coming up: Going to the beach. Nichole's piano students will be having a recital. Going to Natalie's wedding in Utah. Having a baby.
Here are some pictures, in no particular order. Happy Mother's day! I'm super grateful for my mom and for what an awesome mom Nichole is.
