Pumpkin Carving

Our first Halloween was in 2006 when we were at BYU. We had JUST started officially dating at the beginning of October. For a fun date idea we carved pumpkins. It was so fun, minus me stabbing myself in the hand! Don't ask me how I did that! Then we took pictures with the pumpkins as our heads. As time continued, Jeff's parents asked for a picture of me. Jeff being funny, sent them that picture, and never sent them another one until months later!

Pumpkin carving is always so much fun. It amazing too, b/c without even trying this is one thing we have managed to do every year, whether we do it with others or on our own. We have decided to continue doing it every year on purpose.

So, here is the 2011 Pumpkin head picture:
And here is a close up of our pumpkins

Austin

This pretty much sums up our life right now. We are very much into our little girl.
Jeff had a fall break a couple weeks ago, and so we went for the first time to Austin~ It was beautiful and fresh and fun. We went to the capitol, toured the very cool and big Whole Foods (the first Whole Foods ever) went to a couple parks just very quickly to see what they were like, walked along a beautiful bridge at sunset and had a really nice time as a little family.  Oh yeah, we also stopped at the outlets on the way up and had fun looking around. Jeff got some new basketball shoes, his had holes in tops, they were pretty old. I got some new running shoes. Pretty fun. We'll definetely be going back to Austin. Hopefully soon. :)

RAMPAGE

Jeff suprised me by totally planning a fun date, and getting a babysitter! What a guy!
We went to a hockey game. It was really fun. Anywhere you go where you get to hear the ringing of cowbells, watching grown men fight on ice skates, and people watch is a good time. Not to mention the actual hockey game, too. Next time we are totally bringing posters, in hopes of making it on the big screen. :)
Our first date since the baby!!

Unfortunately we lost 4-0

You can see the mascot Ram behind me

There were these weirdos in green suits. Jeff wanted to take pictures with.

I was so embarassed

It was alot of fun, and Abigail did great with our awesome neighbors. Also, for anyone that lives in San Antonio, you can take a gently used book to any The UPS Store before Nov 5, and get a free  ticket to a Rampage Hocky game. :) Let us know if you do it, and we can go to a game together!!

You know you live in San Antonio when...

.... You are talking on your phone and a plane flys by and the person you are talking to can hear it

.... You are going to sleep at night, and the windows of your house are rattling... is it an earthquake? Nope.. just an airforce plane/jet

... You are sitting at home in the middle of the day and you wonder, "Do I live on an airport runway?

--- You can go on a walk and invariably see a plane, jet or helicopter, at pretty much anytime of the night or day

... You are driving into your neighborhood late  at night and see a HUGE, BRIGHT, slow moving light in the sky. You are sure it is a UFO because of how slow and low it is flying in the sky, but then you recognize the shape of the Air Force Jet, because they fly over your neighborhood several times a day, everyday.

We live fairly close to the Lackland Air Force Base, and it lends to some unique experiences. Not bad experiences, just unique (and LOUD). It happens so often, that I have gotten totally used to it, but today a plane flew over and I realized that one day when we live somewhere else it won't happen.

Two months of Abigail

Here is our happy, healthy 2 month old!

Pre 2 month shots

Post 2 month shots

This was the only way we could get her to sleep that night.
At her two month appt she weighed 11 pounds and 3 ounces!! She has nearly doubled her birth weight in two months! She is in the 65 percentile for weight, and she is 23 1/2 inches, which puts her in the 75 percentile for height. I don't remember her head circumfrence, but it is the 25th percentile. But, you know how the saying goes... "Small head, big brain." Okay, so it's not a saying at all, but that is what we're telling her.
She has such a sweet smile. You have to work for it, though. She is a very calm, happy baby, but is a bit stingy with her smiles.

Just chilling with the EKG leads. Look how calm she is! Every month at the cardiologist she has an EKG taken. So far, so good.

Thanks to this Swaddler, aka "The Straight Jacket" Abigail sleeps 8-10 hours every night! What a baby! She hasn't gotten out of this swaddler yet!

I am not sure if this counts or not, because it was on our bed, but she rolled over! And we caught it on camera. She's only done it this once. But still, it was a very exciting moment. Lame, the video isn't uploading. I'll have to try again later.

How we get Abigail to take longer naps! :)

Those hair bows are cute, but they sure do not stay on her head. It seems they are always falling down over her eyes. The cutest is without fail when they fall over her eyes she will start letting out little yelps every couple of minutes. It's almost as if she's saying "Hey, who turned out the lights!"

Grandma and Grandpa Blair and Uncle Kevin's Visit

The last week in September Jeff's parents and youngest brother Kevin came into town for Abigail's blessing. Here are some of the highlights of the trip.
We were able to attend a sealing session at the Temple.

Remember the Alamo!

We also toured the Riverwalk and ate at Casa Rio!

Lots of chill time and holding the baby

This was such a special moment. Their very first time seeing her.

Kevin and Abi were great friends! He babysat a newborn for the first time while we were at the Temple, and we left her for the first time!!! It worked out great. They took a nice nap together.

My favorite day: We hiked Enchanted Rock, toured around Fredericksburg, ate at Cracker Barrel, then watched an episode of Psych!
It was so much fun to have family in town. We miss them alot!

You better watch out.....

Or she'll punch you in the face! ;)

These were taken on Labor Day. We went to Canyon Lake with some friends and enjoyed the break from the heat. It was suprisingly cool and windy that day. If you can consider the 90s, cooler weather. We can. :)

Blessing Day

Man, life is coming too fast! We blessed our sweet baby last Sunday, Sept 25th. It was a special day for us. I was sooo tired and nervous (why was I nervous... I have no idea) that the only thing I managed to bring to church was Abigail, but everything went smoothly, and I was grateful again that Abi is such a sweet, calm, flexible and easy baby. We were so glad to have family and close friends attend her blessing. But.... we forgot to get a picture!!! What were we thinking? Obviously we weren't. Luckily Jeff's Mom remembered after church and we changed back into the clothes and posed for a picture. It is missing our great friends that were in attendance, but at least we have a couple with the family and of her in her blessing dress! What I remember most from her blessing is love. She was blessed with alot of love. Love from us her parents, and love from her Heavenly Father. Oh, how we love her!
