While Jeff and Abi have had a traditional 4th, Emily and I have had a wonderful nontraditional, very relaxing holiday.

| Abi and her beads. She was so sweet when she came home, she put them around my neck and said "Beads for Mama," and then gave me a kiss! |
Jeff wins the Dad of the Year award. Last night was a really rough night for Emily and I, and he went the extra mile and went to the grocery store in the middle of the night, and cleaned the house for me because he knows that is important to me, and held Emily all night as she was FUSSY! I think she just couldn't get warm, and she is having problems learning eat. Life is hard when you are so new to the world! And then this morning he took Abi to all the 4th of July activites. They went to the ward's pancake breakfast, and then Leon Valley's parade. When he came home we had lunch and listened to a reading of the Declaration of Independence and some patriotic music, watched some fireworks on the internet (this may be all the fireworks Abi see this year) and then all 4 of us napped. It was heavenly. Now he is taking Abi swimming. What a guy.

This picture shows our crazy Abigail, her cute new swimsuit from a good friend, and why I didn't leave the house today! We are so grateful for our country and for those who serve in the military for us, and our government officials. Oh how lucky we are to have all that we have.
